As a Customer Success Manager (internally titled Technical Account Manager), you will own a dedicated portfolio of approximately 250 customer accounts and serve as the primary strategic partner for these clients. Your core responsibilities include building long-term relationships with key stakeholders, understanding each customer's operational goals, and connecting Rippling's product capabilities to business outcomes that matter most to them.
This is a high-ownership, commercially minded role with accountability for protecting and growing revenue, driving product adoption, identifying expansion opportunities, supporting renewals, and turning customers into long-term Rippling advocates. You will manage competing priorities across a sizable book of accounts, conduct sharp discovery conversations, navigate ambiguity, and work cross-functionally to solve customer challenges.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and manage a portfolio of ~250 customer accounts with accountability for retention, adoption, renewals, expansion, and overall customer health
- Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders by understanding their business, goals, tech stack, pain points, and workflow improvement opportunities
- Conduct regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions with customers
- Identify and drive expansion opportunities within existing accounts
- Support the sales team on renewals and upsell opportunities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and support teams to address customer needs
- Serve as the voice of the customer internally
