Neo.Tax is an AI-driven platform that automates R&D tax credit and software capitalization for modern software companies. The platform connects directly to engineering tools like Jira and GitHub, analyzing signals such as epics, changelogs, comments, and team structure to produce audit-ready R&D studies without manual interviews. It also automates software capitalization under ASC 350-40 end-to-end, helping finance teams close faster with confidence.
As Customer Success Manager, you will own the post-sale relationship with a portfolio of customers from kickoff through renewal. You'll serve as the main point of contact for finance, tax, and engineering stakeholders, turning their data into accurate R&D studies and capitalization schedules while ensuring they see value every cycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading customer onboarding by connecting Jira and GitHub, collecting payroll and cost data, and setting timelines for first studies or close cycles
- Running ongoing account rhythms such as monthly capitalization updates, data refreshes, and annual R&D study and filing deadlines
- Serving as the go-to contact for questions, troubleshooting data and integration issues alongside tax, engineering, and solutions teams
- Explaining results clearly to CFOs, controllers, tax directors, and outside CPAs
- Tracking account health and usage to spot risks early
- Owning renewals and identifying expansion opportunities, such as adding software capitalization for R&D credit customers
- Bringing customer feedback to the product team and building playbooks and documentation to support scaling
Requirements:
- 5+ years in customer success, account management, or implementation at a B2B SaaS company, ideally selling to finance or accounting teams
- Comfort with data: proficiency in spreadsheets, ability to reconcile messy payroll or cost files, and comfort with API integrations
- Clear written and spoken communication skills, including ability to translate technical or tax concepts into plain language for executives
- Track record of managing multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously without losing detail
- Ownership mindset with focus on retention and renewals
- Familiarity with US R&D tax credit (IRC §41), ASC 350-40, or public accounting experience is a strong plus
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience
Note: This role requires working from the US or Canada; extended remote work from outside these countries is not supported due to payroll, tax, and data-security requirements.
