Manifest is a software and AI supply chain security platform founded by alumni from the Department of Defense, CISA, and Palantir. The company helps security, product, and engineering teams discover and analyze risks across internally built and third-party software and AI systems, providing visibility into components, dependencies, and compliance across defense, automotive, and financial services sectors. As a Customer Success Engineer, you will own the post-sale relationship for a portfolio of large enterprise and government customers, ensuring they realize measurable value from the Manifest platform from onboarding through renewal and expansion. Reporting to the Head of Business Operations, you'll act as a trusted advisor on software supply chain security and AI risk, working closely with security, engineering, GRC, and procurement stakeholders at highly regulated organizations. Key responsibilities include owning onboarding, adoption, and renewal for enterprise and government accounts; developing deep relationships with customer stakeholders across multiple functions; driving product adoption by helping customers configure code and dependency scanning in CI/CD pipelines; monitoring account health and proactively identifying churn risk; partnering with Sales on expansion opportunities; serving as the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering; building customer-facing materials including onboarding and business review plans; troubleshooting technical questions involving databases, APIs, JSON data, and SBOM/AIBOM formats (SPDX, CycloneDX); using basic scripting to investigate data issues and validate integrations; leveraging frontier AI tools for customer communications and data analysis; and traveling periodically to meet customers on-site, particularly in the Washington, D.C. area. Required qualifications include 5+ years in customer success, account management, or similar customer-facing roles supporting large enterprise customers with complex multi-stakeholder relationships. Experience supporting U.S. government customers, particularly federal civilian sector, is essential, including familiarity with how government agencies evaluate, procure, and operationalize software. Strong track record in cybersecurity and/or SaaS customer success, including driving adoption, managing renewals, and reducing churn, is required. Technical skills must include comfort with relational databases, REST APIs, and JSON schemas at a working technical level; ability to write basic scripts in Python, shell, or similar languages; familiarity with software supply chain security concepts including SBOMs and AIBOMs and standards like SPDX and CycloneDX; and comfort using frontier AI models (Claude, ChatGPT) as part of daily workflow. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities to manage multiple accounts and priorities, and ability to travel periodically are required. US citizenship is required. Active security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one is a nice-to-have.
