Veeam is seeking a Customer Success Engineer to drive long-term technical outcomes for enterprise and commercial customers on the Veeam Data Platform. You will own a portfolio of 5–50 named accounts with $100K+ ARR, serving as the primary technical owner and strategic advisor.
Key responsibilities include: configuring customer accounts and customizing backup policies; leading onboarding, adoption, and optimization initiatives; identifying migration and upsell opportunities; conducting disaster recovery assessments and recovery simulations; applying the Veeam Data Resilience Maturity Model (DRMM) to track resilience posture and deliver quarterly reports; monitoring churn signals and developing mitigation strategies; building business cases and defining total cost of ownership (TCO); engaging CISO/CIO stakeholders with risk and opportunity updates; and collaborating on marketing-informed adoption campaigns.
You will translate business outcomes into technical adoption roadmaps, influence renewal and expansion terms in partnership with Sales and CS leadership, and operate with a long-term account assignment model tied to ARR and growth potential.
Required qualifications: 5+ years in customer-facing engineering roles (Technical Consulting, Pre-Sales SE, Technical Account Manager) focused on data backup and recovery; advanced English and German fluency; hands-on expertise in operating systems, virtualization, storage, scripting/automation, cloud platforms, and DR&R best practices; strong experience designing protection plans, migrations, and recovery simulations; VMCE certification (may be completed post-hire); proven ability to engage executive stakeholders and synthesize technical, business, and risk signals into clear recommendations; excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred: AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional), Microsoft Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect Expert certifications; familiarity with Veeam platform capabilities.
