The Customer Marketing Manager role bridges customer success and marketing by turning customer wins and experiences into advocacy, events, and messaging that drive retention, growth, and new business. You will work closely with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to identify advocates, run customer events, and feed customer insights back to Product Marketing and Demand Generation teams.
Key responsibilities include:
• Plan and execute customer lunch-and-learn events, managing topics, speakers, invitations, logistics, follow-up, and reporting on attendance and feedback.
• Identify customer case study candidates with CSMs, conduct interviews, and write and publish case studies showcasing measurable results.
• Partner regularly with CSMs to surface customer advocates, identify upcoming wins, and find renewal or expansion moments where customer marketing can add value.
• Own the monthly customer product newsletter, from gathering product updates through writing, sending, and measuring performance.
• Capture customer quotes, themes, and messaging ideas, and share them with Product Marketing and Demand Generation for use in campaigns, web copy, and sales materials.
• Maintain a current list of customer advocates (references, speakers, case study participants) and track permissions for each.
• Track and report on engagement metrics, event attendance, content usage, and influence on retention and pipeline.
• Manage the Stratus community site by posting, monitoring, and engaging with customers; generate insights to share with product and marketing teams.
• Support product usage targets by creating in-app content and analyzing user behavior patterns across the product suite.
This is a remote role with approximately quarterly travel.
Requirements:
• 2–4 years of experience in customer marketing, product marketing, or content marketing, ideally in B2B.
• Strong writing and interviewing skills; ability to turn customer conversations into clear, compelling stories.
• Organized project manager capable of running multiple events and deliverables simultaneously.
• Comfortable collaborating with CSMs, sales, and product teams; ability to build trust with customers.
• Experience with email platforms (e.g., HubSpot) and CRM systems; familiarity with customer reference tools is a plus.
