Hex is hiring a Customer Engineer to join its growing Customer Engineering team. This post-sale technical role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving product adoption among strategic accounts.
In this position, you will work closely with Account Executives, Product Experts, and internal teams to onboard new customers and ensure their long-term success with Hex. You'll become a product expert capable of guiding customers through platform setup, asset development, and technical questions. Your responsibilities include building customer confidence in Hex, teaching best practices, advising on data curation strategies to enable Hex AI, and driving adoption among core data personas.
You'll experiment with implementation, onboarding, and training programs aligned with Hex's newest product features. A key part of your role is building relationships with customer stakeholders to gather feedback, test early features, and help drive product adoption. You'll identify patterns from your customer interactions that can be reused, automated, or incorporated into the product experience, and aggregate product feedback to inform the roadmap.
Reporting to the Customer Engineering Lead, you'll serve as the company's eyes and ears in the field, translating customer insights into actionable intelligence for Product and GTM leadership.
You bring 3+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role (Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Technical Account Management). You're fluent in SQL and Python, with familiarity across the data tooling ecosystem (BI, cloud data warehouses, semantic layers). You're genuinely curious about customer challenges, comfortable with ambiguity, and excited to design and run experiments. You communicate effectively with technical stakeholders and excel at breaking down complex problems into actionable hypotheses. Based in SF or PST timezone, you're willing to work in office 2 days per week.
