As a Customer Engineer, you will be the technical bridge between customers and the Greptile team. You'll partner with Account Executives to conduct technical discovery sessions, understanding each customer's unique stack (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Perforce, on-premises) and tailoring Greptile's deployment accordingly. You'll design and lead proof-of-concept projects and pilots that demonstrate measurable value in complex enterprise environments, often involving multiple integration points and custom workflows.
Security and compliance are critical in this role. You'll manage security questionnaires, document system architectures, handle identity provider integrations (SSO/SCIM, SAML, OIDC), and unblock procurement processes for enterprise deals. You'll build reference implementations and lightweight integrations to accelerate customer adoption and reduce time-to-value.
Internally, you'll serve as the technical voice of the customer, surfacing feature requests, integration needs, and architectural requirements to the product and engineering teams. You'll create reusable assets—demo environments, proof-of-concept templates, technical FAQs, and integration guides—that systematically improve win rates across the sales organization.
The role requires 1+ years of software or DevOps engineering experience with strong fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript. You should be comfortable with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise identity systems. You'll need to quickly learn new technologies and produce working examples or scripts independently.
