Ashby is hiring a Customer Education Program Manager to own the design and delivery of customer-facing learning experiences end-to-end. Founded in 2025 by Jace Tala, the Customer Education function is expanding with a mission: Ashby Academy should feel like every customer's personal CSM, delivering practical, accurate, and genuinely useful content regardless of customer tier or team size. In this hands-on role, you'll own net-new customer education work from concept through publication, including courses, playbooks, video recordings, and other learning assets. You'll define the goal and format of each asset, gather input from stakeholders, design the approach, build it yourself, and ship it. You'll also refresh and improve existing Academy content to keep it aligned with product changes. Key responsibilities include translating complex Ashby workflows into clear, practical, outcome-oriented education that helps customers understand not just what to do, but why it matters. You'll partner cross-functionally with Customer Success, Product, Product Marketing, and Recruiting Operations Consultants to identify high-value education opportunities and ensure assets launch at the right time. You'll contribute to systems, standards, and workflows that help Customer Education scale while maintaining quality. You'll also explore adjacent formats—lighter-weight tutorials, in-app guidance, and just-in-time learning moments. Typical workload involves managing 2–3 new courses or major playbooks per quarter, plus ongoing refreshes and maintenance. Most of your time goes into building the work yourself: learning the product deeply, writing, recording voiceovers, designing learning flows, and iterating based on feedback. You're a strong fit if you've taught something complex before (live or in writing), learn complex products quickly by exploring firsthand and talking to customers, can juggle multiple projects without losing momentum, write clearly to make complicated things feel useful, are comfortable recording voiceovers for customer-facing content, own work end-to-end without needing a fully mapped plan, work well with busy subject matter experts, and have good judgment about scope and depth. Traditional customer education experience isn't required. You might come from customer education, enablement, implementation, solutions consulting, customer success, recruiting operations, product training, or another role where you've had to learn a complex system and teach it clearly. What matters most is strong product learning instincts, customer empathy, and the ability to translate complexity into practical coaching and content.
