Garage is a marketplace platform automating the purchase and exchange of critical assets (vehicles, equipment) for America's essential industries—fire departments, cities, towns, and emergency services. The company has grown revenue 10x in under a year, operates across all 50 states, and is backed by Y Combinator, Initialized Capital, and other leading investors.
As Creative Lead for Organic Social, you will own the end-to-end strategy and execution of Garage's organic social presence across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor-led role that combines creative production with growth marketing rigor.
Key responsibilities include: developing organic social strategy and content calendar; shooting and editing the majority of content yourself (on-site with customers, at conferences, in the field); building repeatable content systems and shot lists that scale; establishing measurement frameworks (retention curves, follower growth, engagement metrics, traffic attribution, GMV contribution); iterating based on performance data; developing on-camera talent from internal team and customer operators; and feeding best-performing organic creative into paid, email, and conference channels.
You will work in the field with customers, edit in the office, and analyze performance data to inform strategy. The role requires understanding the customer journey, marketing mix, and broader business goals—organic social is positioned as a growth channel, not brand exercise.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree; 4+ years creating social-first video content with a portfolio demonstrating growth; hands-on shooting and editing proficiency (Premiere, Capcut, After Effects); proven track record growing an account or channel from zero with documented metrics and decision-making; native fluency in platform algorithms and current formats; comfort with rapid testing and analytical iteration; willingness to travel for shoots; ability to thrive with high autonomy in an early-stage, ambiguous environment.
Nice-to-have experience includes scaling marketplace businesses, building audiences in niche/technical/trade categories, working with creators and subject-matter experts as on-camera talent, and photography/static design skills.
