Salary: GBP 124,395 - 186,592 / annual

Duolingo is seeking a Senior Creative Director to lead the creative vision for brand building and marketing efforts across the organization. Reporting to the CMO, you will lead a team of creative leaders and oversee all creative work in the Marketing function, ensuring alignment with company strategy and measurable business impact. Key responsibilities include: - Drive creative excellence across all marketing channels (social, video, experiential, partnerships) from insight through execution - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of creative professionals; set high standards for craft and narrative while fostering diverse voices and experimentation - Partner with Brand Marketing to shape strategic briefs and deliver culturally resonant, high-impact campaigns that drive brand love and growth - Collaborate with Growth Marketing to build a performance marketing creative studio supporting global user acquisition - Work with Country Marketing teams to evolve the global agency roster, ensuring consistent quality and standards worldwide - Provide clear creative direction and feedback across all project stages, balancing momentum with excellence - Stay ahead of industry trends and establish clear brand guidelines and success metrics You bring significant experience leading creative teams and shipping integrated campaigns at scale. You excel at connecting creative decisions to strategy, KPIs, and ROI. You have a proven track record of turning insights into iconic, culture-driving ideas and managing multi-disciplinary teams from concept to launch. Strong communication skills, agency management experience across markets, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders are essential. Ideal candidates will have experience with IP-led brands, global creative leadership across multiple regions, a portfolio demonstrating world-class craft and storytelling, deep familiarity with social media and creator ecosystems, and experience establishing clear creative operating mechanisms with marketing, product, and design partners. The role is based in London, UK, with flexibility to work from or relocate to New York City or London.
