Vizcom is seeking a Creative Advocate to join its marketing team as a designer-in-residence. This hybrid role (3 days/week in San Francisco HQ) bridges product and community by creating compelling design content that showcases Vizcom's AI-powered sketching and collaboration platform.
You'll spend the majority of your time hands-on designing in Vizcom, producing polished renders, iterations, and workflows across industrial, footwear, automotive, apparel, and gaming design verticals. Your core responsibilities include developing how-to guides and workflow walkthroughs that demonstrate real-world design processes—from prompt-to-render to concept-to-production—and creating social-first content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok, LinkedIn) that proves AI design tools can deliver professional results.
You'll collaborate closely with brand, product, and growth marketing teams to translate campaign briefs into on-message creative assets for launches, paid social, and website features. You'll also serve as a community expert, hosting office hours during Vizcom Challenges and feature launches, engaging designers on Discord and Instagram, representing the company at industry events, and surfacing product feedback based on real designer needs and friction points.
Ideal candidates bring 3–5+ years of professional design experience in industrial, product, footwear, automotive, apparel, or game/prop design. You're proficient in Vizcom or similar tools (KeyShot, Gravity Sketch, Rhino, Adobe Suite) and have a maker's mindset—you'd rather demonstrate a workflow on canvas than create slides. You communicate fluently with designers, take briefs and run with them independently, and have strong collaborative and presentation skills. Nice-to-haves include a social following in design, video/motion graphics skills, mentoring experience, and fluency across multiple design specialties.
