Mainspring Energy is seeking a Corporate FP&A Financial Analyst to support financial planning and analysis across R&D and G&A departments. Reporting to a Senior Corporate FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the financial infrastructure that enables the company's long-term growth.
Key responsibilities include partnering with department leaders to develop annual financial plans with clear targets and documented inputs; preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that highlight key performance indicators; conducting variance analysis to identify deviations from budget and forecast and recommend improvements; building and maintaining financial models that support business decisions and scenario analysis; driving comparative analysis against peer public companies; supporting the Controller's organization with close activities, variance explanations, and data analysis; participating in long-term financial planning processes; continuously improving FP&A processes and systems as the company scales; and supporting special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed.
This role offers the opportunity to work at a company manufacturing complex products in the energy sector, with exposure to both operational finance and strategic planning. You will develop deep expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting while working closely with technical and operational leaders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate finance or FP&A roles, preferably in companies manufacturing complex products or in the energy industry
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Deep understanding of financial accounting principles and business operations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications
