You will lead Lovable's corporate communications and public affairs strategy across the EU and Sweden, reporting to the European Communications and Public Affairs Lead. This is a balanced role combining policy expertise with corporate communications execution.
Key responsibilities:
- Advocate Lovable's positions on key policy files and build engagement with policy representatives across EU and Swedish institutions
- Own corporate communications on policy issues: develop strategy, write position statements, briefings, op-eds, and manage media relationships
- Monitor the regulatory agenda affecting AI and technology, develop clear company positions that reflect Lovable's reality and ambitions
- Build coalitions and represent Lovable in trade associations and industry groups
- Partner with cross-functional teams to prepare for engagements with policymakers, institutions, and press
- Strengthen Lovable's voice in the European AI policy debate
You'll operate in a fast-moving environment where plans change and you react to urgent issues while building long-term relationships and positions. This is hands-on execution work—you'll write first drafts, build relationships directly, and represent Lovable in rooms that matter. You'll have real influence over how this function develops in Europe.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience operating in and around the policy world (EU institutions, trade associations, think tanks, public affairs firms, or similar)
- Understanding of how policy files move from idea to law, with ability to read formal and informal politics
- Experience in both policy work and corporate communications; comfort speaking to policymakers and media
- Ability to drive issues forward in complex political environments; comfort with ambiguity and competing agendas
- Sharp writing skills with strong editorial judgment; ability to translate dense regulatory developments into crisp briefings and position statements
- Ability to connect dots across policy, industry, and company strategy; forward-thinking on implications
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; comfort working with internal teams, external partners, and coalitions
- Deep curiosity about AI, technology policy, and the industry landscape; instinctive awareness of news, regulatory moves, and debates
- Comfort with fast-paced, evolving environments and willingness to step into work outside traditional role boundaries
- Fluency in English (company language)
