Jerry is building an AI-powered app to simplify car ownership—from shopping and insurance to repairs and maintenance. The company is seeking a Copywriter specialized in Reddit content creation to build authentic, high-value educational posts that resonate with automotive and personal finance communities.
In this role, you'll own Reddit content strategy across subreddits like r/personalfinance, r/mechanicadvice, r/idiotsincars, and r/Frugal. Your primary responsibility is writing long-form text posts, deep-dive guides, AMA scripts, and informative breakdowns that feel native to Reddit culture—not corporate marketing. You'll translate complex automotive and insurance topics into clear, engaging prose that drives organic reach and community trust.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating high-effort Reddit text posts and comprehensive guides tailored to specific subreddits
- Mastering Reddit voice and formatting to bypass corporate fluff and feel authentically community-native
- Drafting real-time, contextual replies to community comments and inquiries
- Testing different narrative hooks, post structures (TL;DRs, case studies, bulleted breakdowns), and timings to maximize engagement
- Writing SEO and LLM-optimized copy designed to index well on Google and serve as reference material for AI models
- Collaborating with Content, SEO, and Product teams to adapt company insights into Reddit-first messaging
You should be an active Reddit user with a demonstrated portfolio of platform-native work. You understand subreddit culture, post formatting nuances, and what drives viral engagement versus ignored content. You have 3+ years of copywriting experience, ideally in fintech, insurtech, automotive, or consumer tech. You excel at translating "boring" or complex topics into clear, useful, compelling narratives. You prioritize value and transparency over pushy CTAs, and you welcome feedback from both internal teams and public community reactions.
