Kraken Pro is seeking a copywriter to build and amplify the brand voice for its professional trading platform, which serves millions of serious traders globally. This is a high-impact role where you'll craft messaging that converts across campaigns, landing pages, emails, in-app experiences, paid ads, and social channels.
You'll be responsible for translating complex product features and technical updates into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with trading culture. The role demands deep fluency in crypto and trading vernacular—understanding when to be witty, when to be direct, and when to let data speak. You'll own the Kraken Pro tone of voice across every touchpoint, from headlines to push notifications, ensuring consistency and brand integrity.
Key responsibilities include: writing high-impact copy that converts; capturing the voice of crypto Twitter and the trading floor; shaping narratives for product launches and feature releases; collaborating at speed with Design, Product, Growth, and Social teams; running copy experiments and iterating based on performance data; and partnering with Legal/Comms to ensure compliant, region-appropriate messaging.
This is a fast-paced environment where markets don't wait for approval cycles. You'll need to thrive under pressure, ship quickly, and continuously test and learn. The role emphasizes self-direction, creative problem-solving, and the ability to move from microcopy to full campaign narratives without missing a beat.
Kraken is part of Payward, a 15-year-old fintech infrastructure platform serving over 10 million individuals and institutions globally. The company offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services for both retail and institutional clients.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of copywriting or content experience, ideally in fintech, crypto, or trading
- Demonstrated portfolio of copy that moved people to act (portfolios valued over résumés)
- Speed and ability to perform under pressure
- High AI competency to multiply impact and keep pace with demand
- Range as a writer: headlines, long-form, microcopy, scripts, threads, email flows, taglines
- Strong editing and communication skills
- Deep familiarity with crypto and trading culture and trader language
- Creative and detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to work closely with designers (Figma proficiency a plus, scrappiness valued)
- Taste and judgment in knowing when to cut a line
