True Anomaly is seeking a Copywriter & Editorial Lead to own the company's thought leadership and editorial strategy. This is a founding editorial hire responsible for translating True Anomaly's expertise in space security, orbital dynamics, and domain strategy into compelling, clear writing for diverse audiences including policymakers, journalists, engineers, and investors.
The role sits at the intersection of brand, communications, product, and executive thought leadership. The primary focus is building and managing True Anomaly's editorial engine—original stories, analysis, and points of view published under the company's name. Key responsibilities include defining the editorial vision, planning the story slate, setting publication cadence, commissioning and conducting interviews, and writing anchor pieces. The role also owns the company's signature annual publication, the State of the Domain report, from conception through final publication.
This starts as a hands-on individual contributor role where the successful candidate will write and edit content themselves at a senior level. There is a clear near-term path to expand the editorial team by bringing on additional copywriters as the editorial engine matures and proves its value.
The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, the ability to translate complex technical and strategic concepts into accessible narratives, editorial judgment and taste, and experience building content programs from the ground up. This person will work closely with product, communications, and executive leadership to ensure the editorial output reflects True Anomaly's brand voice and strategic priorities.
