As Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Lead, you will own the day-to-day experimentation engine across the customer funnel, including landing pages, intake flows, and checkout. This is a hands-on role where you'll live in the weeds running experiments daily. CRO is one of the highest-leverage levers on paid efficiency and unit economics, critical to scaling from the current stage.
You will report directly to the Head of CRO and work closely with a growing team of two Growth Engineers and one Growth Designer. Your mission is to keep the experimentation machine running at maximum speed—managing ideation, QA, project management, and test analysis so the pipeline never stalls.
Key responsibilities include:
- Test ideation & roadmap: Turn analytics, session data, research, and paid-performance signals into a prioritized stream of high-quality hypotheses sequenced by expected impact.
- Experiment setup: Structure clean experiments with clear hypotheses, primary metrics, sample sizes, and guardrails so every test produces a decision.
- QA hygiene: QA every variant before launch across devices and edge cases; protect the funnel from regressions.
- Analysis & readouts: Read results with statistical rigor (significance, confidence, segment effects) and call winners, losers, or inconclusive results with next steps.
- Program management: Coordinate Growth Engineers and Designer, unblock builds, chase the pipeline, and ensure momentum never depends on one person.
- Analytics & reporting: Own a clear weekly cadence outlining what shipped, what won, what was learned, and what's next.
You'll work async in your timezone of choice, provided you have sufficient overlap with European and US time zones (midday Pacific Time) when needed. The role uses Omniconvert, PostHex, and HEX but requires tool-agnosticism.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years running high-volume (hundreds+) experiments for DTC ecommerce brands in high-pace, high-transaction-volume environments
- Dozens of simultaneous tests in flight; proven ability to unblock builds and maintain coherent, forward-progressing roadmaps without becoming overwhelmed
- End-to-end hands-on testing ownership from ideation through QA and readouts; close to the metal, not simply managing agencies or teams
- Deep funnel literacy: understand ad-to-landing-page handoff and how CRO interacts with paid efficiency (CAC, quality score, LP experience)
- Sharp analytics and CRO mindset; comfortable in data, naturally curious, able to dig past top-line numbers into segments and behavior
- Structured approach: written planning, explicit prioritization, dependable reporting cadence that teammates can immediately digest and apply
- High autonomy in fast-moving environments; measure yourself in outcomes and operate with real pace
NICE TO HAVE:
- Statistical sophistication: significance, power, sequential testing, guarding against false wins
- Research comfort: heatmaps, session recordings, surveys, user testing
- Regulated-industry CRO experience where compliance shapes testing, messaging, and shipping
- Technical understanding of how websites and data work; ability to translate ideas into precise, buildable requests
- Experimentation across multiple markets/geographies, particularly UK + EU
