Gecko Robotics is seeking a Contracts Capture Strategist to develop and execute acquisition strategies for U.S. Government opportunities. The role bridges Business Development, Finance, Legal, and technical teams to shape how federal agencies can procure Gecko's wall-climbing robotics and AI-powered infrastructure monitoring solutions. Key responsibilities include partnering with BD teams to develop opportunity-specific capture strategies that align customer mission needs, funding, competitive dynamics, and Gecko's business objectives. You will evaluate and recommend acquisition pathways and contract vehicles—including IDIQs, BPAs, task orders, OTAs, SBIR/STTR, and FAR-based procurements—to create practical paths to award. Building trusted relationships with contracting officers, acquisition professionals, and program offices is essential; you will surface constraints early and help shape executable approaches. You will lead pricing and deal structure development, including ROMs, quotes, proposals, options, phased approaches, and licensing models, in partnership with Finance and Legal. You will drive capture-to-award execution by establishing decision points, coordinating proposal inputs, resolving obstacles, and supporting customer communications through contract award. Additionally, you will shape teaming, subcontracting, and partner strategies to improve access, competitiveness, and long-term account position. Required qualifications include 7+ years of U.S. Government acquisition, capture, contracting, or complex public-sector business development experience (government, industry, or both). You must demonstrate success advancing complex government opportunities from early engagement through acquisition strategy, proposal, negotiation, and award. Strong practical knowledge of the federal acquisition lifecycle, contracting vehicles, and stakeholder roles is essential, along with hands-on experience in pricing, deal structure, proposal strategy, and business-case development for complex technology or major systems. Preferred experience includes work on major systems, mission-critical platforms, or complicated government deals (ships, aircraft, autonomy, robotics, defense technology, critical infrastructure). Current or former Federal Contracting Officer or 1102 acquisition professional background is valued. Established credibility and relationships across DoD or federal acquisition communities, experience with multiple acquisition pathways, working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, and expertise in prime/subcontract structures and partner strategy are all advantageous.
