OpenAI's B2B Content team is seeking a Content Marketing Manager, Demand Generation to develop and adapt content that helps business audiences understand AI capabilities and apply them to real business problems. You will transform foundational B2B messaging, research, product launches, and workflows into targeted content for different industries, business lines, and customer journey stages. Your work will span webinars, guides, ebooks, blogs, customer case studies, and decision-enablement materials. A key responsibility is building modular content frameworks that allow strong source material to be adapted and reused efficiently across contexts. This is a senior individual-contributor role focused on hands-on marketing, writing, and editing—not people management. You'll partner closely with Product Marketing (which owns positioning and messaging) and Demand Generation (which owns audience and channel strategy). You'll bring strong editorial judgment to these partnerships, helping determine what content should be created, how it should be structured, and how it can work across different contexts while maintaining narrative coherence. Key responsibilities include: - Partnering with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and content specialists to identify source material and define content plans for priority programs - Creating and adapting content across webinars, guides, ebooks, thought-leadership blogs, solution guides, customer proof, and decision-enablement materials - Turning core assets into reusable modules for specific industries, use cases, and audience segments (executive, practitioner, technical) - Developing awareness, consideration, and decision-stage versions of priority content - Translating complex source material into clear, useful content - Collaborating with Demand Generation to ensure content meets real audience and distribution needs - Using performance signals to improve content structure and packaging - Establishing repeatable frameworks and templates that increase ROI on content investments - Maintaining editorial quality across a high volume of interconnected assets Ideal candidates have 7+ years of B2B content marketing, editorial, or integrated campaign experience. You should be an exceptional writer and editor with a portfolio demonstrating how you've adapted substantive material for different B2B audiences. You can translate complex product and business subject matter into clear content, identify strong narratives and proof points, and have experience creating content across industries and buyer groups. You understand B2B audience and channel needs, can work at speed and scale, and combine editorial judgment with operational precision. The role is hybrid, based in San Francisco with Monday-Wednesday in-office attendance and Thursday-Friday work-from-home flexibility, with occasional in-office time for live events.
