TRM Labs is an AI-powered intelligence platform helping public and private sector agencies investigate and disrupt crime. As Content Marketing Lead for Research & Insights, you will own the editorial strategy and execution that positions TRM as the authority on crypto crime and financial-crime intelligence. You will lead a small, senior, AI-native content team within GTM Marketing, working closely with the Insights/Primary Intelligence team, Demand Gen, and Communications. Your core responsibilities include: - Setting the research content agenda: Build and own a proactive editorial plan that decides which research findings become flagship reports, blog posts, social content, or media pitches. Use AI to scan the research pipeline and surface stories worth telling. - Turning research into a content engine: Manage 1–3 published pieces per week, carrying findings from concept through publication and distribution. Use AI workflows across review, drafting, and repurposing to maintain quality at scale. - Owning narrative and production: Shape and pressure-test each narrative and its data, then use AI to draft variants, headlines, and channel-specific cuts. This shifts your time from production to judgment. - Driving distribution: Plan how each piece reaches its audience before publication. Push content across owned, paid, and earned channels. Use AI to tailor content for social, newsletters, and executive voice. - Growing search and AI-citation visibility: Produce content that makes TRM the cited authority on priority themes. Use SEO and GEO tooling to find gaps and measure impact. - Supporting media outreach: Work with TRM's head of Communications on journalist outreach for research releases. Feed learnings from coverage back into the content plan. The team operates distributed across the US and Europe/UK with async-first communication and regular syncs. The editorial calendar is the shared source of truth. You will have real latitude to decide what TRM should be known for, with close, continuous partnership rather than handoffs. Minimal travel; fully remote with overlap on US-based collaboration hours. In your first 30 days, you will publish a research piece end-to-end with a distribution plan. Within 60 days, you will stand up an AI-assisted production workflow enabling 1–3 pieces per week without adding headcount. Within 90 days, you will move a flagship finding from idea to press-ready and placed, measurably lifting reach and search/AI-citation visibility. TRM is a Series C company with $220M in funding, backed by Goldman Sachs, Bessemer, Y Combinator, Thoma Bravo, and others. Headquartered in San Francisco with distributed hubs in Los Angeles, New York, Washington D.C., London, and Singapore. The company operates at high velocity with a mission-driven culture focused on building a safer world. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of B2B content marketing, editorial, or research-communications experience, with a portfolio of data- or research-based point-of-view work - AI-native approach: use AI across research review, drafting, repurposing, and optimization; build workflows others can reuse - Strong editorial judgment and ability to strengthen complex, technical narratives without sacrificing accuracy, including when AI produced the first draft - Experience owning pieces end-to-end from concept through publication and distribution; proactive content planning, not just fulfilling requests - Distribution mindset with comfort using AI and analytics to measure and improve content performance - Ability to translate technical, data-driven material into clear, engaging content; use AI to adapt tone and format for different audiences - AI fluency is a baseline expectation; you should be in the top 10% of operators in your function in applying AI to accelerate workflows, structure problems, improve quality, and increase speed and leverage
