Anduril Industries is seeking a Connectivity Engineer to join the Deployment Operations organization. You will design and maintain connectivity solutions for Anduril's deployed suite of defense technology products, working across engineering and operations teams.
The role focuses on networking infrastructure that connects military assets—including aircraft, ground systems, and UAVs—to operators across diverse mediums: fiber, MANET, military SATCOM, commercial LEO satellite internet, microwave backhaul, and 3G/4G/5G networks. You will perform technical due diligence with customers to ensure correct network architecture selection, source appropriate hardware, oversee implementation, and support sustainment of production data links.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architecting connectivity solutions with Anduril's customers and their networking engineers
- Calculating RF link budgets, assessing risk of lost links, and presenting findings to operations and engineering teams
- Designing and maintaining complex network laydowns for ground-based air defense systems, force protection sensor suites, UAVs, and space systems
- Sourcing, evaluating, and maintaining networking equipment and services
- Overseeing network implementation during demonstration events and production site bring-ups
Required qualifications: 2+ years of RF or network engineering experience with Layer 3 network design understanding, externally-facing technical communication skills, ability to travel up to 15%, and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include problem-solving in unstructured hardware/software/networking situations, independent research and learning ability, link budget generation experience, familiarity with DoD network enclaves (NIPR, SIPR), mesh networking/MANET experience, NSA Type 1 encryption or FIPS compliance knowledge, and InfoSec or computer security background.
