Fluidstack is building civilization-scale compute infrastructure for AI at unprecedented speed and scale. The company acquires power, designs and builds data centers, and operates them across hardware and software teams. This role is a senior technical leadership position within the R&D labs, focused on compute qualification and hardware validation. You will set the technical direction for compute qualification, establishing methods, tooling, and standards that the lab operates under. You own the hardest qualifications yourself—first silicon, new platforms, and the failure modes that others cannot explain. A core responsibility is building automation: test harnesses and data pipelines that multiply the lab's throughput and enable the team to scale validation efforts. You will represent the labs to vendors and the broader fleet, serving as the technical voice on hardware readiness and qualification status. The ideal candidate has been the senior technical voice in hardware validation or systems engineering, with a track record of qualifying early-stage hardware, engineering samples, and first-run systems, then shipping findings to production. You have built test automation that other engineers continue to use and rely on. Your failure analyses go to root cause, not to plausible explanations. You mentor engineers in debugging and problem-solving across the stack. Bonus experience includes accelerator architecture depth, signal and power integrity, large-scale burn-in design, and established vendor engineering relationships. Fluidstack operates with full autonomy, insane urgency, first-principles reasoning, and a focus on building something that matters. Long hours and high intensity are expected as the team pushes the frontier of AI infrastructure forward.
