Rula is a remote-first mental healthcare company seeking a Compliance Manager to support and strengthen its compliance program. The role reports to the Director of Compliance and focuses on day-to-day compliance operations, including providing compliance advisory support to business stakeholders, independently conducting compliance investigations, assisting with auditing and monitoring activities, and advancing policy governance and development.
You will work collaboratively with business teams and legal to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks. The ideal candidate is analytical, solutions-oriented, and skilled at translating complex healthcare regulations into practical, actionable guidance that balances regulatory requirements with business needs. This is a hands-on role that requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams.
Rula is fully remote and currently hires across most U.S. states (excluding Hawaii). REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5+ years of healthcare compliance experience, including policy development, regulatory interpretation, and program implementation
- 3+ years conducting or supporting compliance reviews and investigations
- Experience collaborating with business and legal stakeholders on compliance concerns and risks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS guidance, OIG compliance program guidance, and applicable federal and state healthcare laws
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree and/or Juris Doctor or equivalent advanced training in healthcare law, compliance, or public health
- 2+ years of experience in telehealth, privacy, and/or behavioral health compliance
- 2+ years conducting compliance audits and risk assessments
- Certification in general healthcare compliance
- Experience with tools such as Zendesk, Salesforce, EHR platforms, AI tools, and reporting/data platforms
