Anduril Industries is seeking a Communications Manager to lead external communications strategy for the Maneuver Dominance division, which develops autonomous aerial robotic systems including Thunder (autonomous attack rotorcraft), Omen (hover-to-cruise air vehicle), Altius (modular launched effects), Bolt (man-packable autonomous air vehicles), Ghost (expeditionary platform), and Anvil (counter-drone interceptor).
In this role, you will own the complete narrative and communications strategy for this high-profile product portfolio and associated contracts. You'll develop and execute proactive communications campaigns targeting defense, tech, and policy audiences to drive awareness and influence. Key responsibilities include elevating division leadership as thought leaders through tailored narratives and executive materials; crafting compelling messaging including op-eds, media pitches, and product launches; maintaining relationships with top-tier national security, defense trade, and tech reporters; collaborating with engineers and program managers to identify and elevate stories; partnering on events, speaking engagements, and awards programs; planning high-impact media experiences including demos and field tests; and supporting crisis communications as needed.
You'll work directly with senior leaders, technical experts, and reporters, requiring strong judgment, composure, and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities. The role requires 5-7 years of strategic communications, public relations, tech, or policy experience, preferably in defense or aviation. Experience as a U.S. military Public Affairs Officer or close collaboration with military public affairs teams is strongly preferred. Excellent writing skills, ability to craft tight narratives and memorable messaging, and comfort working at senior levels are essential. U.S. Person status is required due to access to export-controlled information.
