Checkout.com is seeking a strategic Communications Manager to build and lead integrated communications and influencer strategy across North America. You will own the NORAM PR and communications remit, working with colleagues in London to architect multi-layered campaigns that engage enterprise merchants, B2B buyers, and tech enthusiasts.
Key responsibilities include:
Omni-Channel Storytelling: Drive creator and influencer strategy across social, podcasts, and newsletters. Develop North America's dedicated social media presence and strategy, elevating executive visibility and brand awareness. Cultivate deep relationships with Tier 1 business, tech, and financial journalists to secure high-visibility regional coverage. Design integrated campaigns fusing traditional PR with creator partnerships for product launches and corporate announcements. Establish analytics and reporting programs to measure success and inform future strategies.
Operational Excellence: Build playbooks, workflows, and tools for influencer sourcing, contract negotiation, compliance, and brand safety. Treat social platforms as vital brand assets, writing press releases, media pitches, and social copy at speed. Serve as lead point of contact for NORAM agency partnerships, driving KPIs to exceed commercial objectives.
AI-Driven Performance: Leverage AI tools to streamline workflows, draft outlines, and synthesize market data. Track robust KPIs across reach, engagement, share of voice, and PR attribution to iterate on messaging and prove business impact.
You bring 8-10 years of combined experience in corporate communications, public relations, and influencer/digital marketing, ideally from high-growth fintech or B2B SaaS. You have an active network of relationships with North American tech journalists, B2B creators, and podcast networks. You excel at translating complex payment infrastructure into accessible, headline-grabbing narratives. You're a masterful communicator who can brief C-suite executives and build rapport with digital creators. You're self-starting, resilient, and energized by ambiguity, with proven ability to build programs from scratch and manage multiple high-priority workstreams.
