Notion is hiring a Commercial Outcomes Architect for its Tokyo office to drive customer adoption, value realization, and renewal outcomes in the Japanese market. This is a customer-facing role focused on helping enterprise and mid-market customers realize measurable business impact from Notion's AI-native workspace platform. You will own a book of named accounts, with particular focus on customers that are flat, at-risk, or need stronger paths to measurable ROI. You'll partner closely with Solutions Consultants and account executives on strategy, expansion qualification, and renewal planning. Your core responsibilities include designing and maintaining mutual success plans, facilitating use-case consultations to identify new workflow opportunities, driving product adoption, and contributing directly to net revenue retention through predictable renewals and expansion pipeline. Key activities include: conducting customer discovery to understand business problems and map workflows; designing repeatable customer programs and playbooks; managing success plans and stakeholder commitments across your book of business; identifying opportunities for professional services engagement; and helping customers navigate AI transformation with periodic business reviews and ROI demonstrations to executive stakeholders. You'll need strong technical fluency with Notion (ability to co-design, configure, and troubleshoot workspaces), commercial awareness around renewal risk and expansion potential, and the ability to translate customer goals into practical implementation plans. You should be obsessed with AI, constantly experimenting with new tools and learning new ways of working. This role requires 3+ years of experience driving customer adoption, value realization, renewals, or expansion in B2B software environments. Native-level Japanese and business-level English are required. Prior experience in customer success, solutions consulting, technical account management, or post-sales strategy for productivity/collaboration software is a plus.
