GitLab is seeking a Commercial Account Executive for Mexico to serve as the primary point of contact for small and medium-sized business (SMB) and mid-market customers (up to 1,999 team members) in the region. You will own a broad book of business and drive new and expansion opportunities from prospecting through close and renewal. In this role, you will articulate the value of GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform, tailoring your approach to each customer's business and technical needs. You'll build and maintain a healthy pipeline through consistent outbound prospecting and qualification, using structured methodologies such as MEDDPICC and Command of the Message. You will document buying criteria, decision processes, and key stakeholders to run disciplined sales cycles and support accurate territory and forecast management. You'll collaborate closely with Sales Development, Customer Success, Renewals, Marketing, technical teams, and Partners to coordinate account strategies and deliver a cohesive pre- and post-sales experience. You will support customer adoption of GitLab solutions, proactively work to reduce churn and contraction, and participate in quarterly forecasting and territory planning. You'll also share win and loss insights and serve as a voice of the customer through GitLab's public issue tracker. Required qualifications include fluency in Spanish and proven experience selling SaaS solutions through value-based conversations with technical and business stakeholders, ideally including development or DevSecOps teams. You should have experience owning and managing a broad SMB and mid-market territory as the primary point of contact, from prospecting through close, adoption, and expansion. Strong skills in building customer relationships, discovery, negotiation, and closing are essential. You must be comfortable driving consistent outbound prospecting, maintaining a healthy pipeline, and keeping territory and forecast documentation accurate. Clear and structured communication skills, including the ability to present GitLab's DevSecOps value proposition to different audiences, are critical. Interest in GitLab, open source, and tools that support software development is valued. Willingness to travel to meet customers and attend events as needed is expected.
