Chainguard is seeking a Commercial Account Executive to drive sales growth across the Australia and New Zealand region. The role focuses on building relationships with key decision makers at enterprise and mid-market organizations to evangelize secure, production-ready open source software solutions.
You will define and execute sales plans for your assigned ANZ territory, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation through close. Responsibilities include conveying Chainguard's value proposition and product differentiators to prospects and customers, forecasting and exceeding quota targets, developing and managing a healthy pipeline through both inbound and outbound activities, and collaborating with product, support, and sales engineering teams to continuously improve the sales process.
The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of SaaS or security software sales experience with a strong track record of consistently overachieving targets. Domain expertise in compute platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), DevOps tooling, CI/CD platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins), or software development lifecycle is strongly recommended. You should be competitive and driven, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Additional requirements include willingness to travel to client sites as needed to support sales relationships and fluency in Dutch or French alongside professional English. Desired qualifications include prior SaaS or developer tools sales experience, startup background, and ability to thrive in agile, fast-evolving environments.
