Jerry is an AI-powered platform simplifying car ownership—insurance, maintenance, repairs, and sales—for 5M+ customers. The company is profitable, backed by Y Combinator, and expanding into home and motorcycle insurance.
You will create authentic, high-value Reddit content that educates and entertains rather than hard-sells. Your role bridges community engagement and organic growth by writing posts and comments that feel native to Reddit culture while advancing Jerry's brand authority in automotive and financial topics.
Key responsibilities:
- Create original Reddit posts for relevant subreddits (r/carinsurancehelp, r/mechanicadvice, r/frugal, etc.) that educate on insurance, car buying, maintenance, and related topics
- Master Reddit voice and formatting—using tone, structure, and timing to maximize organic reach and upvotes
- Write real-time, contextual replies to community comments, balancing expertise with conversational authenticity
- Experiment with narrative hooks, post structures (TL;DRs, case studies, breakdowns), and timing to test what resonates
- Optimize copy for SEO and LLM indexing so posts rank on Google and serve as reference material for AI systems
- Collaborate with Content, SEO, and Product teams to translate company insights into Reddit-first messaging without losing brand accuracy
You are an active Reddit user with a portfolio demonstrating platform fluency. You understand sub-culture nuances, post formatting, and what drives engagement. You excel at translating complex, boring, or frustrating topics (insurance policies, rate hikes, vehicle maintenance) into clear, useful, compelling prose. You prioritize value and transparency over pushy CTAs, knowing that high-quality educational content builds long-term brand equity. You welcome feedback from internal teams and public comments, using community reactions to refine your approach.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of copywriting experience, ideally in fintech, insurtech, automotive, or consumer tech
- Proven track record writing short- and long-form copy
- Active Reddit user with a portfolio of work demonstrating platform expertise
- Ability to translate complexity into clear, engaging prose
- Feedback-resilient and collaborative mindset
- Must currently reside in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada (full-time salaried positions)
