Karius is a venture-backed life sciences company specializing in clinical metagenomics and infectious disease diagnostics. The company uses next-generation sequencing and AI to detect microbial cell-free DNA in blood, enabling rapid diagnosis and treatment decisions for infectious diseases. As Clinical Sales Manager for the Eastern Region, you will lead sales efforts across a defined territory, building relationships with infectious disease physicians, lab directors, hospital C-suite executives, and clinical leaders. You report to the Regional Sales Director and are accountable for growing sales revenue and test volume by establishing new business in hospitals and increasing adoption at existing accounts. Key responsibilities include: developing and executing territory strategy; engaging key hospital stakeholders involved in diagnostic test adoption decisions; collaborating cross-functionally with Inside Sales, Customer Success, Medical Affairs, and Marketing; identifying and nurturing thought leaders and early adopters; presenting product features and benefits using consultative sales techniques; serving as a subject matter expert on the science and technology of the Karius test; building trusted advisor relationships and demonstrating ROI to partner accounts; securing and managing contracts and renewals; providing market feedback to inform product and strategy; partnering with Medical Science Liaisons on clinical interactions; supporting account onboarding and customer success; identifying regional meeting and Key Opinion Leader opportunities; and participating in sales training, conventions, and industry trade shows. You will be at the forefront of transforming infectious disease diagnostics, working with cutting-edge genomic sequencing technology and seeing direct impact on patient outcomes at scale.
