Abacus Insights is transforming healthcare data management for health plans. The company has raised $100M from top investors and is building a platform that breaks down data silos to create a single, trusted data foundation—enabling better decisions on care and cost, improved outcomes, reduced waste, and better member and provider experiences. The Client Success Director is a high-impact, accountable role for a leader who thrives on ownership. You own a portfolio of healthcare clients with end-to-end responsibility for client outcomes and P&L health. While structured as an individual contributor, this role operates at a General Manager level—accountability is not shared or escalated. You hold a true seat at the table, driving retention, growth, and measurable value delivered through Abacus solutions. You think and act like a business owner, treating your portfolio as your own. You serve as both the voice of the customer inside Abacus and the face of Abacus to clients, building deep trust-based relationships with C-suite and senior executives. You operate as a strategic advisor who understands clients' businesses deeply, anticipates what's coming next, proactively identifies expansion opportunities, and mitigates risk before escalation. Success requires leading through influence. You routinely mobilize cross-functional teams—Client Data Engineering, Product, PMO, Analytics, Client Requirements—to deliver exceptional outcomes despite having no direct authority. You build alignment, create urgency, drive execution, own challenges, champion solutions, and ensure follow-through. Day-to-day responsibilities include: owning client outcomes (retention, satisfaction, measurable business value), building and sustaining C-suite and VP-level relationships, identifying whitespace and expansion opportunities, proactively managing risk by sensing issues before they surface, and mobilizing cross-functional teams to solve complex problems. You communicate with executive presence, distill complexity into decisive action, and move seamlessly between strategic leadership and hands-on problem solving.
