OpenAI is seeking a Client Partner for Media & Entertainment to drive new and expanded advertising revenue across leading media, streaming, entertainment, gaming, and content companies. This role focuses on building strategic partnerships with Media & Entertainment advertisers, owning the full sales cycle from prospecting through deal closure.
Key responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying new advertising opportunities within the Media & Entertainment vertical, achieving defined revenue targets, and developing strategic account plans that drive advertiser ROI and long-term revenue growth. You will build and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers across advertising sales, media strategy, brand marketing, audience development, and partnerships functions, serving as a trusted advisor to help clients leverage OpenAI's advertising solutions for content launches, subscriber acquisition, audience growth, live events, and fan engagement.
You will structure and negotiate complex commercial agreements tailored to unique advertiser needs, quantify opportunities through data-driven business cases, and partner closely with cross-functional teams including Account Management, Product, Measurement, Marketing, and Operations. The role requires gathering advertiser feedback to shape the evolution of OpenAI's advertising products and staying informed on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies impacting the Media & Entertainment ecosystem.
Ideal candidates have significant experience in digital advertising sales, partnerships, or business development within Media & Entertainment, with deep relationships across streaming services, studios, gaming companies, broadcasters, publishers, sports organizations, and agencies. You should have a track record of exceeding revenue goals, closing complex high-value partnerships, navigating matrixed organizations, and engaging with senior executives. Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and strategic planning capabilities are essential, along with comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and passion for emerging technologies.
