As a Client Development Representative, you will own customer engagement and expansion within an assigned portfolio of existing Brex customers. You'll combine high-velocity outreach with consultative discovery to identify expansion opportunities, align stakeholders, and deliver measurable customer and revenue outcomes. This role is ideal for someone building a sales career who enjoys developing customer relationships, navigating commercial conversations, and driving cross-functional results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive daily customer outreach across email, phone, and social channels to generate a qualified expansion pipeline
- Serve as primary point of contact for an assigned customer portfolio, helping them extract more value from Brex solutions
- Identify and advance expansion opportunities by connecting Brex offerings to measurable business outcomes
- Lead structured discovery calls, develop commercial proposals, and negotiate deal terms
- Develop deep understanding of customer workflows, accounting processes, and financial priorities to uncover pain points
- Build relationships with finance stakeholders from Controllers to CFOs; tailor value messaging and recommend action plans
- Partner with Underwriting, Deal Desk, and account teams to balance customer needs with commercial impact
- Maintain rigorous forecasting, CRM hygiene, activity tracking, and opportunity qualification
- Advocate for customers internally by sharing feedback that improves product and customer experience
You'll work in a hybrid environment with a minimum of three coordinated days in-office per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), plus up to four weeks annually of fully remote work. The role is based in Vancouver, with flexibility to work from NYC, San Francisco, or Seattle offices.
Required qualifications: 2+ years of customer-facing experience in sales, hospitality, customer service, or related field; experience in a general sales role or demonstrated interest in building a sales career; strong urgency and adaptability in live customer conversations; excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally; coachability and growth mindset; Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field.
Bonus experience includes: managing a book of business, account health, executive relationships, renewals, or expansions; familiarity with finance workflows, ERPs, spend-management platforms, or AP automation; fintech, payments, corporate accounting, or credit-card management background; knowledge of credit limits, rewards, and underwriting; high-growth startup experience; comfort building relationships across seniority levels; Salesforce and Gong proficiency; track record of building creative processes or using AI to improve efficiency.
