Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Chief Solutions Engineer to lead strategic growth initiatives within the Labs team. This role bridges technical excellence and business development, requiring you to initiate and sustain executive-level customer engagements, lead responses to RFIs, RFPs, and proposals, and position Anduril to win competitive opportunities.
You will own the technical and programmatic success of strategic growth opportunities from concept through funded prototyping or program of record start. This includes developing and managing multi-business line collaborations to unlock use cases for mature and emerging Anduril products, with emphasis on connectivity, containerization, and interoperability with customer command and control architectures.
Key responsibilities include managing detailed system and subsystem design (requirements development, trades, optimization, risk management), assembling cross-functional teams of internal and external subject matter experts, and communicating technical vision across Anduril divisions. You will coordinate closely with manufacturing to ensure prototypes scale to full-rate production, work with senior leadership on resource planning, and conduct trade analysis to explore early conceptual designs addressing Department of War capability gaps.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering (or equivalent); proven track record as a development and growth leader in commercial or DoD capture and sales; familiarity with the full product lifecycle from concept through fielding and sustainment; demonstrated ability to work across engineering, capture, and operations; high-energy, high-ownership leadership style.
