GovEagle is a venture-backed AI platform helping government contractors win more work through AI agents that accelerate RFP response cycles. The company has achieved strong product-market fit (5x revenue growth, 10x DAU growth) with customers including defense primes and top federal integrators running their RFP lifecycle on GovEagle inside FedRAMP and AWS GovCloud environments. As Chief of Staff to the CTO, you will be a high-agency generalist working directly with the CTO to own the product strategy and execution that connects customer needs to engineering delivery. This is a hybrid role based in New York City with four days per week in-office. Key responsibilities include: - Own the complete product loop: conduct customer discovery and call reviews, translate feedback into prioritized specifications, and drive features from definition through launch and adoption. - Run engineering cadence with the CTO: manage cycle planning, maintain the priorities document, ensure Linear accuracy, and own release readiness including QA checklists, dogfooding, and ship decisions. - Own customer health metrics: define and track new-user retention, stickiness, and account health on analytics dashboards; build warning systems for at-risk accounts and lead initiatives to improve lagging metrics. - Serve as the technical voice for customers: triage support escalations, close action items from customer calls, and lead the technical portions of demos and trials. - Build with AI: prototype fixes, internal tools, and integrations using AI coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor; ship solutions in days rather than sprints. The role sits at the intersection of product, engineering operations, and customer success. You will learn how a company scales by working directly alongside the CTO and will have high ownership over product direction and execution. Qualifications: - AI maximalist: proficient with Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools; demonstrated track record of shipping real products using AI coding tools. - Proven shipping experience: have launched a product to real users, either through founding a startup, building on a small team, or working as a forward-deployed or solutions engineer. - Technical foundation: able to read code, debug failing integrations, and communicate effectively with engineers; formal CS degree not required. - Strong written communication: ability to write clearly so that both customer IT leads and engineers understand and act on the same documentation. - High agency and learning velocity: learn quickly, chase feedback, and demonstrate the capability to eventually run a company. - U.S. citizenship required: this role works inside customer environments subject to export controls. - Able to work in-person in New York City four days per week. Nice to have: founding experience, side projects with real users, or government/GovCon domain background (not required; domain training provided).
