Salary: USD 191,000 - 336,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Chief Engineer for Advanced Effects (Missiles) to lead technical and programmatic execution of missile design, development, fabrication, test, and sustainment. This role is part of the Air Dominance and Strike (AD&S) Chief Engineering Team, responsible for architecting product development vision and guiding multi-disciplinary teams across the Barracuda and Roadrunner programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading technical and programmatic execution of new and existing missile designs from concept through test and delivery
- Owning technical and programmatic success; establishing vision and assembling internal and external subject matter expert teams
- Conducting design trades and early conceptual exploration in collaboration with technical SMEs and Business Development
- Managing detailed system and subsystem design, including requirements development, trades, optimization, and risk management
- Coordinating prototype and low-rate production fabrication and subsystem/system-level testing
- Supporting remotely deployed operations and working with senior leadership on resource planning
Required qualifications:
- Deep understanding of missile development or robotics/consumer electronics
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering (or equivalent)
- Senior-level program leadership experience from concept through test and customer delivery
- Proven ability to drive strategic direction in competitive landscapes and solve complex system optimization challenges
- Track record delivering functional capabilities while aligning technical and programmatic objectives
- Experience with mission-critical DOD systems and troubleshooting remotely deployed systems
- Eligible to obtain and maintain active U.S. Secret security clearance
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to customer and test sites
