Salary: USD 190,400 - 238,000 / annual
Cohesity is seeking a Channel Sales Engineer to join its Federal Channel team. This is a partner-facing technical sales role that bridges Cohesity, its channel ecosystem, and end customers in the federal space.
You will build and strengthen technical relationships with channel partners (VARs, systems integrators, distributors, MSPs), enabling them to successfully position, demonstrate, and implement Cohesity's data security and management solutions. Your responsibilities include:
- Conducting pre-sales technical consulting and solution architecture for partners and customers
- Designing and leading Proof of Concepts (POCs), evaluations, and validation activities
- Delivering compelling product demonstrations, workshops, architecture reviews, and executive briefings
- Uncovering customer business challenges through discovery and aligning Cohesity solutions to requirements
- Collaborating with Account Executives, channel partners, and customers to develop solution strategies
- Acting as a trusted technical advisor on data protection, cyber recovery, cloud, virtualization, and hybrid infrastructure
- Developing and executing partner enablement plans to increase technical proficiency
- Advocating for customers by partnering with Product Management and Engineering teams
- Supporting customers throughout the sales lifecycle, from planning through post-sales engagement
You should have strong technical expertise in enterprise infrastructure, data protection, storage, cybersecurity, virtualization, and cloud platforms. Experience with channel partners, VARs, systems integrators, or MSPs is essential. You'll need demonstrated success designing and leading technical evaluations and POCs, exceptional presentation and communication skills for both technical and executive audiences, and proven ability to conduct discovery and translate requirements into solution designs.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on industry experience is required. You must be self-motivated, capable of operating independently in a remote environment, and willing to travel as needed for customer engagements and partner enablement activities.
