Aspire is a Series C fintech company building a financial operating system for global founders, combining banking, software, and automation into a single platform. The company is backed by Y Combinator, Peak XV, and Lightspeed, and serves over 50,000 startups worldwide.
You will own partner marketing for Aspire in China, based in Shenzhen. This is a hands-on, execution-first role focused on driving measurable value through partnerships and localized marketing.
Key responsibilities include:
Partner Acquisition & Engagement: Navigate Aspire's cross-border partner ecosystem in China to identify new marketing opportunities. Manage Marketing Development Funds (MDF) including allocation, structure, and ROI tracking. Reactivate dormant partners and drive co-marketing initiatives. Partner closely with Channel Partnership Managers to align marketing execution with partnership strategy. Track analytics to optimize campaign performance.
Co-Marketing Campaigns: Plan and execute co-marketing campaigns with key partners from concept through launch and reporting. Localize Aspire's value propositions and messaging for the China market. Enable partners with ready-to-use marketing assets and campaign support.
Digital Marketing & Social Media: Own Aspire's social campaigns across WeChat, Xiaohongshu (RED), Weibo, and other China-specific platforms. Write and publish copy independently without relying on external agencies. Develop strategic perspective on Aspire's social media presence and evolve it over time.
Events & Field Marketing: Plan and execute a growing calendar of China-based events, from partner activations to industry conferences. Provide on-the-ground field marketing support across the Shenzhen ecosystem. Support local brand presence in collaboration with regional teams.
Required: 3–5 years in partner marketing, channel marketing, or field marketing (ideally fintech, SaaS, or financial services). Hands-on experience running campaigns on WeChat and Xiaohongshu with independent copywriting ability. Experience managing MDF programs. Native or fluent Mandarin with professional English proficiency. Based in or willing to relocate to Shenzhen with travel flexibility. Strong grasp of AI concepts and ability to apply AI tools (Claude, n8n, etc.) to solve problems.
Preferred: Existing relationships in fintech/banking/B2B ecosystem in China. Event planning and execution experience. Familiarity with cross-border needs of Chinese founders. Comfort working cross-functionally with global, English-speaking teams across time zones.
