ClickHouse, a Forbes Cloud 100 company and leader in real-time analytics and data warehousing, is seeking a Certification Manager to own and expand its growing certification program. The Learning Team is scaling rapidly as adoption increases among customers like Capital One, Meta, Tesla, and Airwallex.
You will take full ownership of ClickHouse's certification ecosystem, which currently includes credentialed course-completion badges and a performance-based Certified Developer exam. Your responsibilities include:
• Develop hands-on, performance-based certification exams covering ClickHouse use cases (real-time analytics, observability, data warehousing)
• Conduct job task analyses with subject matter experts to ensure exam relevance
• Grade and maintain all certification exams, including writing grading scripts
• Create quizzes for course-completion badges and credentials
• Build community presence for certified professionals via social media and in-person engagement at conferences and meetups
• Track and report certification program metrics and KPIs
• Partner with certification and badging vendors on exam and badge delivery
• Provide customer support to learners pursuing certifications
• Travel occasionally to promote ClickHouse at industry events
You bring proven experience developing certification exams for technical audiences (software engineers, database developers), solid SQL knowledge, and technical depth in databases, OLAP, cloud platforms, distributed systems, and big data. You're self-motivated, own projects end-to-end, learn new technologies quickly, and communicate clearly.
Bonus qualifications include 5+ years in technical software certification, curriculum development for databases/distributed systems, ClickHouse experience, cloud platform familiarity (AWS/GCP/Azure), and a technical degree.
