DTX Pharma (a Novartis company) is hiring an Area Business Leader to manage a field-based sales team in the Manhattan territory, covering the cardiovascular therapeutic area. This is a hybrid role requiring significant field presence and travel (60-80%) across the assigned geography, with a primary office base in Manhattan. You will lead and mentor a team of Territory Account Specialists, driving strategic sales execution and customer engagement with healthcare providers, hospitals, IDNs, and systems of care. Key responsibilities include: - Recruiting, developing, and retaining a diverse, high-performing sales team with clear accountability for KPIs and strategic objectives - Mentoring Territory Account Specialists to orchestrate comprehensive account strategies and coordinate cross-functional resource deployment - Developing and implementing customer-centric business plans in collaboration with customer engagement and cross-functional partners - Serving as a member of the regional leadership team, contributing to regional goals, business execution, and team development - Embedding a results-oriented, collaborative culture that encourages innovation and problem-solving - Leveraging analytics platforms to identify risks, opportunities, and optimal resource deployment - Demonstrating deep knowledge of clinical, access, reimbursement, territory management, and omni-channel marketing tools Required qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university - 2+ years' experience as a first-line sales manager in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences, insurance, consumer health, or B2B sectors - Strong demonstrated strategic thinking and enterprise mindset - Proven success attracting, developing, and retaining diverse talent - Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and lead cross-functional partnerships in complex, multi-regional environments - Must reside within the territory or within 100 miles of the territory border - Valid driver's license; ability to travel 60-80% and drive/fly within territory Desirable qualifications include experience leading sales teams in large practices, hospitals, IDNs, and systems of care, with understanding of outpatient and inpatient reimbursement models. The position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience (Area Business Leader I or II). No relocation support or visa sponsorship available.
