Halter is an agricultural technology company revolutionizing livestock management through innovative solutions that enable sustainable and productive farming operations. The company is backed by top-tier investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, and others, and is expanding into Argentina as a key market.
You will build the People & Performance infrastructure from the ground up for Halter's new Argentine operation, working alongside local leaders and the global People team. This is a foundational role in a high-growth, early-stage market entry.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing people management processes, leadership routines, documentation, and workflows for a high-performing new team
- Coaching and advising leaders on feedback conversations, performance management, development, and employment relations
- Owning onboarding quality to ensure new hires understand Halter's mission, operating model, and cultural standards from day one
- Managing daily People operations including systems, documentation, compliance, and employee records
- Supporting market entry operations including office setup, field team logistics, local supplier coordination, and fleet/vehicle processes
- Staying close to operations and sharing relevant insights with People, Talent, Commercial, and Leadership teams
You are someone with strong judgment who builds trust quickly, stays calm under complexity, and brings clarity to ambiguous situations. You can challenge leaders directly, handle difficult conversations with confidence, and maintain high performance standards while demonstrating equity and care. You know how to build from scratch without waiting for perfect systems, take full ownership of your work, and genuinely identify with Halter's mission to transform agricultural operations.
Required experience includes People Partner, HR Business Partner, or generalist HR roles; strong expertise in performance management, leadership coaching, and labor relations; experience designing People processes and workflows; operational discipline and attention to detail; fluent Spanish and English; deep knowledge of Argentine and/or Uruguayan workplace culture; comfort in dynamic, demanding, high-standards environments; and a bias toward action.
