GitLab is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) fluent in Turkish to join the Sales team. This fully remote role is based across the UK, Ireland, Germany, and the Netherlands, with responsibility for outbound prospecting in the Turkey/Balkans territory. You will execute outbound prospecting initiatives to generate qualified meetings and pipeline, focusing on both new logo opportunities and growth within existing customer accounts. Your core responsibilities include conducting high-level discovery conversations to understand business needs, qualifying opportunities, and creating Sales Accepted Opportunities (SAOs). You'll meet or exceed monthly and quarterly SAO targets by consistently converting qualified prospects into opportunities. You will research and prioritize target accounts using business and industry knowledge to identify key players, uncover compelling events, and develop tailored outreach strategies. You'll execute multi-touch outreach cadences (call, email, social, etc.) using Outreach to maximize engagement and conversion rates. All prospecting activities and pipeline will be managed, tracked, and reported in Salesforce to provide clear visibility into performance and forecast. Collaboration is essential: you'll work with Field, Corporate, and Digital Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to build targeted account lists, campaigns, and call strategies. You'll attend regional marketing events to engage participants, generate leads, and drive qualified SAOs. You'll also document and continuously improve BDR processes in the GitLab handbook and mentor new BDR hires to help them ramp quickly. Required qualifications include fluency in Turkish and English, previous tech industry experience in an outbound sales development role, positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening and writing abilities, and proficiency with Salesforce, Sales Navigator, and Outreach or similar tools. You should demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks, manage high-volume outreach, take initiative, persist through setbacks, and independently drive projects to successful outcomes. Knowledge of business processes, organizational structures, and alignment with GitLab values is expected. Willingness to travel for events such as trainings, team offsites, and customer meetings is required.
