Salary: CAD 52,800 - 79,000 / annual
7shifts is a scheduling and payroll platform serving over 55,000 restaurants. As a Business Development Representative for the Mid-Market segment, you'll drive new business by generating and qualifying pipeline for restaurant groups with 10+ locations. You'll report to the Senior Manager of Sales Development and work closely with the Mid-Market Account Executive team to book qualified meetings with operators and executives running multi-unit and enterprise restaurant brands.
This is a 0-1 build role, meaning you won't inherit a finished playbook. Instead, you'll figure out what works through prospecting across calls, email, social, networking, and events. You'll own a focused book of accounts in Salesforce, researching high-potential restaurant groups and multi-threading to decision-makers. You'll leverage AI-powered prospecting tools and internal data to surface accounts, personalize outreach at scale, and focus your time where it matters most.
You'll be responsible for hitting and exceeding quota targets by maintaining discipline on daily and weekly activities you control, consistently booking meetings that convert to opportunities. As the segment scales, you'll help shape the motion and build repeatable processes by identifying what works and flagging what doesn't.
You bring quota-carrying outbound sales experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, with a proven track record of generating net-new pipeline. Restaurant industry background is essential—you understand how operators and multi-unit leaders think and can speak their language. You're scrappy and resourceful, working your network creatively to stand out in crowded inboxes. You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills with empathic listening ability. You're self-organized, able to prioritize a portfolio and build structure when playbooks don't exist yet. You have a track record of achievement and a team-first attitude.
Bonus experience includes background in restaurant tech (POS, payroll, online ordering, reservations, tip management) or working knowledge of restaurant operations, tip pooling, and labor compliance. Familiarity with sales-engagement or sequencing tools like Outreach or Salesloft is also valuable.
