7shifts is a scheduling and payroll platform serving over 55,000 restaurants. As a Business Development Representative for the Mid-Market segment, you'll drive new business by generating and qualifying pipeline for restaurant groups with 10+ locations. You'll report to the Senior Manager, Sales Development and work closely with the Mid-Market Account Executive team. This is a 0-1 build role, meaning you'll develop the playbook from scratch rather than follow an established process. You'll own a focused book of accounts in Salesforce, researching multi-unit restaurant groups and multi-threading to operators and decision-makers. Your prospecting will span calls, email, social, networking, and events—using AI tools and internal data to identify high-potential accounts and personalize outreach at scale. Key responsibilities include generating pipeline that fuels mid-market growth, booking qualified meetings for the Account Executive team, owning your activity metrics (daily and weekly), and shaping the repeatable process as the segment scales. You'll need to stay disciplined on activity targets and consistently convert meetings to opportunities. You should bring quota-carrying outbound sales experience in B2B SaaS with a proven track record of generating net-new pipeline. Restaurant industry background is highly valued—understanding how operators and multi-unit leaders think and speak their language is essential. You'll need scrappiness, hustle, exceptional communication skills, strong self-organization, and a team-first attitude. Ideal candidates also have experience in restaurant tech (POS, payroll, online ordering, reservations, tip management) or working knowledge of restaurant operations, tip pooling, and labor compliance. Familiarity with sales-engagement tools like Outreach or Salesloft is a plus. Compensation is performance and growth-driven, with base salary of CAD $52,800–$79,000 plus sales commission. Placement within the range depends on job-related skills, knowledge, experience, and internal equity assessment.
