Salary: USD 55,000 - 80,000 / annual

Diligent is seeking a Business Development Representative I to drive new business growth through outbound prospecting and client engagement. In this hybrid role based in Washington, DC (3 days in-office: Tuesday–Thursday; 2 days remote), you will build new pipeline, generate qualified leads, and serve as a brand ambassador for Diligent's corporate software products. Key responsibilities include: - Using lead generation tools (cold calling, LinkedIn, Outreach, Salesforce, ZoomInfo) to create targeted prospect lists and extract contacts - Conducting sales development activities via email, phone, and social channels to connect with new prospects - Asking smart, targeted questions to identify and qualify decision-makers - Building interest and influence with prospects to move opportunities forward - Scheduling meetings and demos for account executives; logging activities in CRM - Meeting or exceeding assigned KPIs and targets - Supporting team performance through knowledge-sharing and best practices You should have a strong passion for sales-driven, target-oriented environments and a solid understanding of the full sales process (marketing, prospecting, cold calling, sales cycle management). Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—are essential, as is the ability to engage and influence senior-level executives. Proven ability to quickly master product knowledge and articulate unique value propositions is required. High energy, positivity, and a can-do attitude are critical. Preferred experience includes SaaS sales and building stakeholder relationships at the C-suite level. Compensation: $60,000 base salary with $80,000 on-target earnings (OTE).
