Altruist is transforming the wealth management industry with an AI platform for financial advisors. Hazel, part of Altruist's mission, is the AI engine helping advisors unlock 10x growth and efficiency. This is a foundational Business Development Representative role with direct impact on Hazel's go-to-market strategy and growth trajectory.
You will own top-of-funnel execution, generating and qualifying pipeline in the hundreds of thousands of dollars monthly. Your responsibilities include running a balanced motion across inbound follow-up and outbound prospecting to the company's ideal customer profile. You'll conduct first-touch discovery calls, assess fit, and schedule qualified meetings with Account Executives. You'll execute targeted outbound campaigns via email, phone, and LinkedIn to reach key decision-makers, while maintaining a thoughtful buyer experience through clear communication and fast response times.
Operational excellence is critical: you'll maintain clean CRM data, track activity metrics, and work with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to improve conversion through feedback loops. You'll continuously test messaging, sequences, and channels, bringing learnings back to refine playbooks. A key part of the role is becoming fluent in the wealth management AI landscape and translating Hazel's value proposition into business outcomes for different personas—operators, leaders, and technical stakeholders. You'll leverage AI tools to research accounts and craft personalized, high-signal outreach at scale.
The role is hybrid with four in-office days per week at Altruist's San Francisco FiDi location. This is an early-stage hire with significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape Hazel's sales motion from the ground up.
