MariaDB is seeking a Business Development Representative to qualify inbound marketing leads and conduct cold outreach to potential customers. The role is based remotely in Romania and focuses on identifying high-potential businesses, developing territory through a mix of inbound lead qualification and outbound prospecting, and scheduling qualified discovery calls with prospective clients.
You will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop and execute inbound and outbound campaigns, interact with IT and business decision makers via phone and email, and manage lead activity in Salesforce and Salesloft. Key responsibilities include detecting customer pain points, understanding their context, setting qualified introductory meetings for the sales team, and exceeding monthly and quarterly opportunity quotas. You'll also invest in self-development and build strong relationships with marketing and Account Executives to maximize business wins.

**Requirements:**
- 1–3 years of B2B Business Development experience
- Outstanding communication and listening skills
- Self-starter with a track record of hitting and exceeding goals
- Strong time management and ability to work independently or with coaching
- Experience with Salesforce.com and Salesloft (desired)
- Passionate about cutting-edge technology with aptitude to learn new IT software products and understand business-critical solutions quickly
- Bachelor's degree
- Bilingual English language skills strongly preferred (English + one additional European language: German, French, Spanish, or Arabic)
