UpKeep is building the AI-first Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), transforming how frontline maintenance and facilities teams operate. The company has achieved significant market traction—recognized as Gartner's #1 Facility Management solution and G2's top-rated CMMS—with 4,000+ customers including Shell, Yamaha, Unilever, and Marriott. Backed by Insight Partners, Emergence Capital, and Y Combinator, UpKeep is leading a $30B category shift toward AI-powered Asset Operations Management. As a Business Development Representative, you will drive pipeline growth through both inbound and outbound channels. You'll engage inbound leads from marketing programs (free trials, events, webinars, content downloads) and proactively prospect into target accounts via cold calling, email sequences, LinkedIn, and strategic outreach. Your core responsibility is generating Sales Accepted Opportunities (SAOs) by identifying, researching, qualifying, and converting prospects into Product Qualified Opportunities (PQOs) and qualified meetings for Account Executives. Key responsibilities include: responding to and qualifying inbound leads to assess fit and understand pain points; maintaining active engagement through strategic follow-up sequences; identifying and researching target accounts aligned with UpKeep's ideal customer profile; building personalized outbound campaigns with comprehensive account plans; setting PQOs from both inbound and outbound prospects; and consistently meeting and exceeding monthly SAO targets. You'll serve as the first point of contact for prospective customers, building UpKeep's brand and creating meaningful first impressions that accelerate the sales cycle. You'll partner closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and Product teams to develop winning playbooks and deliver effective messaging. This is a quota-carrying role with hybrid work expectations: in-office Tuesday through Thursday at the LA headquarters, with flexibility for remote work on other days. The role offers competitive compensation, meaningful equity ownership, and benefits supporting health, focus, and long-term growth.
