Teya is a Series C fintech platform built to simplify financial services for local businesses across Europe—cafes, restaurants, salons, shops, and entrepreneurs. The company believes local businesses deserve better tools, support, and user experience than traditional financial services provide. You'll join Teya's growing sales team as a Business Development Representative based in Prague. This is a field-facing sales role focused on direct outreach and relationship-building with local business owners. Key responsibilities: - Field prospecting: Actively approach shop owners, restaurant operators, and cafe owners to introduce Teya's solutions and demonstrate value. - Direct engagement: Conduct in-person meetings with business owners, understand their pain points and goals, and recommend appropriate Teya products and services. - Relationship management: Sales doesn't end at close—you'll maintain ongoing client contact, support onboarding, and ensure long-term satisfaction. - Product knowledge: Develop deep familiarity with Teya's offerings through structured training. - Team collaboration: Work within a supportive sales team across multiple European markets (UK, Hungary, Croatia, Iceland), sharing best practices and feedback. - Market feedback: Gather and relay field insights to inform product and customer experience improvements. Required qualifications: - Languages: Czech or Slovak at C1 level; fluent English (B2+) for client and cross-border team communication. - Sales experience: Minimum 1 year in sales, client-facing roles, deal negotiation, planning, reporting, and target achievement. - Communication: Strong ability to explain complex concepts simply and persuade stakeholders. - Team mindset: Despite field independence, you're part of a cohesive team with shared goals. - Adaptability: Comfort with rapid growth, change, and dynamic fintech environments.
