Dust is an enterprise AI platform that empowers teams to build, own, and run AI agents integrated with their internal data and tools. Backed by Sequoia and founded by alumni from Stripe, OpenAI, and Stanford, Dust serves leading companies like Datadog, 1Password, and Cursor. The company is scaling rapidly with 70%+ weekly active users and aims to 5x growth by end of 2026. As a Business Development Representative, you'll drive qualified pipeline generation for Dust's GTM engine during a pivotal scaling phase (60 to 180 people). This is not a traditional BDR role—you'll pioneer AI-native sales development, using Dust's own platform daily to transform prospecting and qualification workflows. Key responsibilities include: identifying and qualifying opportunities at scale-ups and enterprises through targeted outreach to technical leaders and founders; conducting discovery conversations to connect business challenges to Dust's value; nurturing prospects until sales-ready and ensuring smooth handoffs to Account Executives with detailed context; collaborating with Marketing and GTM Engineers to test and optimize outbound campaigns; and using Dust agents daily to prospect, research accounts, and manage your workflow. You'll need 1-2 years in tech sales or demonstrated hunger to break in with transferable skills. Strong communication in English is essential (French is a plus for European coverage). The role values aptitude (coachability, performance orientation), attitude (team collaboration, ownership, resilience), and agency (hustle, resourcefulness, comfort with ambiguity). You'll work in-person at the San Francisco office with flexibility to work from home when it makes sense for your work that day. The company prioritizes an office-first culture for the energy, fast decisions, and unexpected conversations that unlock hard problems.
